Kerala Cricket Association All Set To Launch IPL-Style T20 League

The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) is set to launch a franchise-based T20 league this September. Featuring six teams, the tournament will unfold with 33 matches at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

A total of six teams will compete in the state premier league which will be held under the rules and regulations of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Each day will host two matches, one at 3 pm and the other at 7 pm, with player selections made via an auction.TCM Global Media will serve as the official partners, while Star Sports has been secured as the official broadcaster and Fancode as the digital streaming partner.

Nazir Machan has been appointed as the chairman of the governing council, with KCA secretary Vinod S Kumar serving as the convenor. The council also includes K M Abdul Rahiman, P J Navaz, Thomas Mathew, K Mohammed Danish, and Minu Chithambaram.Only players registered in Kerala will be able to play in the league.
